God is my peace

With as crazy as life has been, biggest thing I need to remember is how much God is my peace. He keeps me… He sustains me… He is always near… I want to take some time to share some of my favorite verses of God’s peace.

Isaiah 26:3, You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You. For me this verse says when we trust in the Lord and think on Him, we are living in perfect peace because we are walking fully in Him.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives – peace, Galatians 5:22. Unlike following our sinful nature, letting the Holy Spirit guide us to produce a life pleasing to God. Human effort and law cannot do these. Peace with God creates internal well-being that spills in our relationships with others so we become peacemakers.

Philippians 4:6-7, Don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. This is a verse used over and over. I know for me personally I come back to this verse many times. Knowing a life of trusting in God brings God’s peace. God’s peace! We all could use some of that.

Colossians 3:15, And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your heart. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. With being in one body of Christ, we are to be in harmony and perfect peace one with another. We are to be peacemakers, not take offense with one another in the body of Christ. A state of mutual harmony between people or groups, especially in personal relationships.

Peace is defined as freedom from oppressive thoughts or emotions. Think on this… Peace is freedom… When we look over these verses we will see how when we think on God, He gives us His perfect peace. I am not talking about the peace we get from going on a hike or reading a book or gardening. God’s peace so loving, so comforting, so uplifting. I am so super thankful for God’s perfect peace.
